Statutory Assessments
Reception Assessment Baseline
When your child enters Reception, they will be baselined in the following areas:
Early literacy, communication, language and mathematics skills.
At the end of your child's Reception year, your child will be baselined again to evaluate how much progress your child has made.

Year 1 Phonics Test
In June, your child will take the Year 1 phonics screening test. This test involves your child reading forty words which contain the graphemes your child should know. Your child's end of year report will tell you how your child performed in the screen test.

Year 4 Multiplication Times Table Check
In June, your child will take the Year 4 multiplication times table check.
This test involves your child accurately recalling twenty-five multiplication facts and is taken online. Your child's end of year report will tell you how your child performed in the check.

Year 6 Standard Assessment Tests (SATs)
In May, your child will take tests in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling; Reading and Mathematics. These tests assess your child's attainment in these areas and are used to evaluate how much progress your child has made since Reception.
Your child's end of year report will tell you how your child performed in these tests.
